Best Times of the Year to Shop UAE Sales

The UAE has a busy retail calendar, with several major sale periods throughout the year. If you're planning a larger purchase and shipping internationally, timing it around one of these events can be worth the wait.

The UAE's recurring sale periods

Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF)

Typically runs from mid-December into January. One of the UAE's longest and most established retail events, spanning electronics, fashion, and general retail across the emirate.

Ramadan sales

UAE retailers often run promotions throughout Ramadan, since shopping activity tends to increase in the lead-up to Eid. Dates shift each year based on the lunar calendar.

Eid sales

Immediately following Ramadan, many stores run additional Eid-specific promotions — sometimes distinct from, and in addition to, the Ramadan sale period.

UAE National Day (December 2nd)

Retailers frequently mark National Day with short promotional windows around the start of December.

"Friday" sale events (Black Friday and variants)

The UAE has adopted the global Black Friday shopping period, often marketed under regional names by individual retailers. This typically falls in late November.

Back-to-school season
